Do these verses mean the Christian theory of freedom of choice is against the "Word of God"?
Romans 8:29 - 30
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
Or is there special instructions on how to interpret these verses so their meaning is something different than what they say?
(This seems to happen a LOT)

I often have confusion about what others call free will.
My current understand I am sure is incomplete but has begun to add some clarity none the less.
There is but One Will & we are a part of that One Will whose Source is our Father.
Yet, what we call free will simply means we can choose to Be within that Will, or we can chose to deny it & live in a state of lack that gives us an illusion of free will & the illusion of many choices.
But, are many choices in an illusion really a choice at all?
The illusion, Maya, appears to have taken on a life of it's own, singing siren songs of free will, separation, & death. But when examined closely one finds it empty, void of real substance, & merely a shadow of a long forgotten dream that never really existed.
Free will does not imply we can choose what is Truth, what is the path out of the forest, or even the lessons learned along the way.
It simply means we can choose to delay & deny within the frame work of the illusion of time.
Yet, that feeling of separation is painful to us all & although we seem to have a very high threshold for pain, eventually it will be our own self inflicted pain that will make us all at some point desire to wake up from our dream of death.
Many Blessings!

Yes, it is true that it is possible to lose our salvation. Jesus made this known to us also, when he said that "those who persevere to the end will be saved." We have to persevere to the end obviously. If we were once enlightened and got off the right path, we must do whatever it takes to get back into God's will and walking in the light. Jesus warned in lots of ways that it is possible to lose ones salvation. He said "Those who put their hand to the plow, and look back, are not worthy of me." (Remember what happened to Lot's wife when she looked back). He also said, "the children of the kingdom will be thrown into outer darkness and there shall be gnashing of teeth and their worm shall never die." He also said, a verse of warning in John 15:6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch, and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." There is a link for divine revelations on the internet and many are skeptical of this. It concerns these very issues and I believe it is true. It is absolutely in the word, but most {Christians} don't want to believe it. Of course, the non-believers don't believe there is a hell in the first place. We must keep praying for the lost and our fellow believers every day. Eph. 6:18 admonishes us about this is detail.

Yes a Calvinist views something like this as unconditional election and irresistable grace.
But to me and others, this is no different than saying "im going to treat my future wife with respect and love" "Im going to raise my future kids right and they will have good opportunities and good parents like I didnt"
God is simply extending a promise to those who choose to call themselves his children and live up to the promise in faith. I dont believe the plain reading of the verse has to necessarily be forced grace.

✞✞✞ To foreknow and to predestine are not the same thing. One is an act of foreknowledge, or knowing something before it occurs; the other is to decree something. We only have knowledge of the past, but God foresees the future even as he sees the past; foresees it, not because he has decreed it, but because there are no limitations on his knowledge......................
Those who have become a child of God will become as Jesus...This is what this verse is speaking of...All who accept Christ will be as Christ...Not that they will have the Authority as Christ but they shall be in His likeness and His image...
God calls all to His Son Jesus Christ...Many accept but more refuse ....Those who accept are PREDESTINED to be conformed into His LIKENESS...

Just because Gd knows the answer does not negate your choice in the matter, it merely means that he has already seen the show. Your choice remains real and really matters.

no
god calls people to be saved
the person has to choose to answer that call willingly and say yes
the people god foreknew are those who he knows will say yes to his call of salvation and accept jesus as savior
those people are predestined to be changed into the image of his son
this verse is guarantee of their salvation
