Now do people see what I mean when I say the Jets have potential?

I'm not going to pretend that the Jets had a flawless game against the Dolphins, but they did show many positives.

You also have to consider that they've done most ofwhat they have without their best outside linebacker in Calvin Pace, what could be their best wideout in Santonio Holmes and at absolute worst the second best cornerback in the league. When Pace comes back he should significantly improve their pass rush, and a Holmes-Edwards-Keller-Cotchery receiving quartet could be deadly.

Shonn Greene looks like he's starting to get going and though the first year starters Kyle Wilson and Matt Slauson have had some bad penalties, they've been far more than fine so far.

Regardless of whether or not it all comes together like it should, people have to realize that things would have to go pretty badly for them to lose more than 6 or 7 games.

I don't think anyone is questioning the talent the Jets have or their potential. They don't always seem to have the focus. That can get you beat even faster than lack of talent in a league like the NFL where the talent gap is really only significant between the absolute best and worst teams.

As for the Dolphins, they're missing something. I don't know what it is, but they need one or two things and they could be legitimate contenders. They stuck it out tonight despite getting behind very fast. I'm not convinced Sporano is a very good coach yet and wonder if he's not the one problem they have left.

If they don't they should. For the record I have always thought and said they had alot of potential and I am not a Jets fan. I thought their only achilles heel would be if Sanchez could get it together early or not but he has shown he has the intelligence to put the Ravens behind him and move forward. Last night was the best I have seen him. The only people who think the Jets "suck" are those who are hoping they lose. I really don't see any reason they are not going to win alot of games this year. They look like a pretty complete team to me.

I've been saying this for a while: If Mark Sanchez isn't afraid to take chances, he has a lot of potential. The game against Baltimore, he alawys wanted to dump the ball off, but latlely he has been taking more shots and finding Keller. If the Jets want to win, Sanchez has to lead them.

Put that offense you guys had tonight with the defense you're capable of, and I see the Colts and Jets facing each other in the Championship game again.
