How can Europe deny it is socialist if it forbids capitalism, private healthcare and free market businesses?

Nowhere in Europe today is a citizen aloud to start up a business, all business is nationalized in the hands on the state; a citizen who wants health care has to stand in line waiting he can't go to a private doctor or hospital unless he has enough money to get to America and pay cash, the state controls everything from where you live to what you wear to who you associate with to what you say and everything. This is the nightmare that is Europe today and this is what Obama, Reid and Pelosi and the other Marxist Muslims want to shove down our throats. This is why our ancestors left Europe b/c they had no time for socialism and wanted freedom but Obama wants to turn us into Europe. Europe has nothing good in it. It is a country with no freedom and no money and pure socialism.

Glenn, Sean, Sarah, Rush, Bill, O'Donnell, Bachman...help us defeat the socialists in 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because they also control the press and the police. They can call it whatever they want. They control the meaning of words.

When you get sick with cancer, and you lose your job because you can't work because you are sick to your stomach from all the chemo, and your insurance company drops you because they don't want to cover sick people, and the bank is foreclosing on your house, and the hospital is suing you because you can't pay your bills, and your family can't help you because they're up to their eyeballs in debt trying to get their kids through college and pay off their medical bills, then you tell me that you do not want any help from the government.

Labeling ideas makes it easy to demonize them without ever trying to even understand them.

Were you born in Europe? When is the last time you visited the U.K., France, Germany, Switzerland? I doubt you really know what you're talking about. And Rush and Sarah are just feeding you tiny sound-bites so you will not understand and think deeply about these issues so you will give them power to do what they want.

These are complex issues with no simple solutions. It is even harder to fix in a Democracy where all sorts of different kinds of people have to come to an agreement to get anything done. Such a system is utterly dependent on a well educated society that can think, reason, analyze and understand and communicate with each other. The founders of our country knew this well and John Adams was so convinced of it, he made it a requirement in the Massachusetts Constitution that he wrote.

Today we have fallen far short of that ideal. The result is a bunch of closed minds, silly arguments, and tongue lashing. The result is a country that is polarized and does not seek to understand, communicate and find a way to compromise (which is also an essential part of Democracy). The result is a society and a government that is stuck in the mud and unable to follow any long term strategy that is good for everyone.

Do you really want a government that only cares about a small segment of the population? What if you end up in the wrong class that no one cares about? You sound like you're doing well, but a lot of things can happen over the course of a lifetime. Me, I'm watching my career evaporate before my eyes as millions of high-paying, professional jobs are exported to foreign countries. I guess I'm just SOL huh? How do I explain that to my wife and kids ?

Well, we cannot allow the government or the Federal Reserve to allow an Amero dollar like the Euro that the G20 globalist banks are planing. The people have to be made aware of what is really happening, which is the more money we print and hand to the large banks, the less each dollar we regular citizens own is worth. The European Union and their Euro coupled with the formation of an Amero will turn everyone in the world into Serfs for the elite Bankers, all the while saying it is for our benefit. It is not for our benefit it is to enhance their power over us, limit our ability to prosper and to own anything, and turn the world into a modern day Feudal system.

    Yeah

I'm sure it's a NIGHTMARE. Yet, somehow, European countries are dominating the top 10 lists of best countries to live, most developed countries, least corrupt countries, lowest crime rates, lowest infant mortality rates, lowest child poverty rate, highest literacy rate, etc.

    B. How is private healthcare necessary for capitalism? Do you even KNOW what capitalism is?

    C. Ever heard of BP? BP = BRITISH PETROLEUM, idiot.

Well, they were on the verge of oblivion and are now starting to come back to Capitalism, as evidenced by the G20 conference or whatever it is called that just took place in Canada over summer.

They urged Obama to turn around, but he is not listening, evidently.

    Last sentence= WIN.

  • There are so many things wrong with this question i don't even know where to begin, I think you're a troll. Anyway Socialist Europe still sucks and I don't want us to be like them.

I was in Paris last year and I don't know what you're talking about. The people are very happy with their healthcare and they live better than Americans.
