movies similar to the seventh seal?
i saw the seventh seal and liked it a lot. what movies are similar to it? I mean in terms of good/evil, life/death, the nature of God--the big questions about life, done in an artful way. i really liked the allegorical style; even still, the major characters were still whole and developed, and not coookie cutter.

Have a look at Roger Corman films like: The Masque Of The Red Death, The Tomb Of Ligeia, The Fall Of The House Of Usher.
Guillermo del Toro's "Pan's Labyrinth" is really special.
One of my all time favourites is: Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders, about angels in post war Berlin. A fabulous film.

Frailty. Check it out if you haven't seen it already, it is an awesome, underrated good/evil movie.
