how do animals know not to **** their siblings?

    Uh they don't.

    Inbreeding goes on a lot with animals. This is why people should get their animals fixed, or keep them seperated >.>

    They do mate with their siblings. Animals do this all the time and do not understand not to.

    They don't. That's why inbreeding is rampant among purebred dogs and cats. A male dog or cat will mate with any female in heat, whether she is biologically his mother, sister, aunt, cousin, etc or not.

    (the pet shop said they were brothers but they were really brother and sister)
