How much will the signing of Trevor Pryce improve the Jets pass rush?

The Jets pass rush has been lacking this year, largely due to the absence of Calvin Pace who should return in the next few weeks and Kris Jenkins, so they went out and got Trevor Pryce, who led the Ravens in sacks last year.

He and Ellis should make a very good pair of ends.

Not much if at all. He's seriously declined in the last year, and he hasn't started for the Ravens since early in 2009. The biggest problem with the Ravens' defense during that time has been lack of a pash rush - Pryce's specialty. If he had anything left, he would have been starting.

  • I'm not sure at Pryce stage of his career that he will be a impact player like he was in his earlier days with Denver and even with the Ravens. I think he can come in for spot duty and help on pass situations. I just don't want you to expect the former Pro Bowl DE that Pryce use to be. I think he will help out with the run defense of the jets more than the pass to be honest with you.

Probably not much if he plays the way he has been playing.

In 3 games with the Ravens this season, Pryce has 1 tackle. Thats it. 1 Tackle. And rarely if at all has he even gotten to the QB to add pressure. I dont think he has much left in the tank and the Ravens knew it. They probably wanted to sign him back for depth but I dont think they are worried about losing him.

He'll be productive but i doubt he'll be an impact player.
