random hair check at hair salon?

i was at famous hair, just a regular chain haircutting place, and i had a lot of hair to get cut and it took like 40 minutes, which i thought was super long. and then at the end, my stylist asked one of her colleagues (maybe her boss?) if she wanted to check my hair, so she looked and my hair for like 90 seconds and said it was ok, all the while my stylist is there all nervy-eyed like. i asked my stylist what that was about and she said they just do random hair checks every so often, but it wasn't really random since she asked for it. maybe she's a new girl or on probation; either way customers should get to know this beforehand. i just thought it was weird, since i'm an adult and have never had this happen before. has this happened to anybody else?

No its never happend to me,

but the hairdresser wouldnt be an apprentice or anything otherwise they would have another hairdressing guiding them through the hair cut process.

maybe the hairdresser cut your hair shorter than you wanted and she was worried you would sue.

or maybe she cut it unevenly and was wondering if the boss noticed it, and the boss didnt say anything from what youve said, and so she thought it wasnt noticable and thats why she didnt say anything.

otherwise your hair dresser was telling the truth and maybe they do have hairchecks.

    Hope i helpeed!:) x

She was probably an apprentice. Many barbers and stylists have apprentices working for them. They are usually payed minimum wage or a stipulated hourly wage instead of renting a space or giving a percentage to the barber shop/salon owner.
