Do NYC (or any other States) Transit Workers Ride for Free?

I was Just sitting and wondering, Do Transit Workers Ride for Free or do they have to Pay the Fare just like everyone else?

    Employees of MTA NY City Transit and MTA NYC Bus ride free on NYC Subways and NYC Buses.

    MetroNorth employees can ride free on MetroNorth. LIRR employees can ride free on LIRR.

    There is no cross honoring between systems even though they are all part of the MTA.

    Most transit companies throughout the world allow their employees to travel free
