Does Gloria Allred have any legal standing that would warrant her involvement?

I am not sure I understand why she is even involved in the Meg Whitman issue. Yes, Meg did hire an illegal alien to do work, however the maid falsified documents. Even when they where informed by the SSA they legally can not fire the maid or use that document against the maid in any way. So why is Gloria Allred even involved? If she is just doing it to interfere with an election can she be punished in some way? Sorry I don't think my last question was worded properly.

Update:

WRG.. I gathered that much. Why does the maid need legal representation?

Update 2:

Lestermount.. That is more along the lines of what I was asking. Thank you

Update 3:

Sage, thank you. I knew some of what was out in the media, but didn't know the actual reason the maid hired a lawyer. Again thank you.

Update 4:

Daisy, why so defensive? I simply asked a question. I don't live in that state and outside of some business dealing don't really care who they elect. As far as business interest are concerned I hope Meg wins simply because when a democrat raises the taxes in any state the cost of goods goes up and I go elsewhere to find purchase my goods. I basically have to turn my back on good suppliers because they can’t be price competitive. California has a great work force, but they will remain unemployed due to the state government BS.

Gloria Allred is a lawyer representing Nicky Diaz, an illegal immigrant who worked for Meg Whitman as a housekeeper for 9 years. Allred claims that Diaz has a claim against Whitman and her husband for unpaid wages. As to that matter, Allred has standing to assert Diaz's claim in court. However, Allred's press conferences and her numerous television and radio appearances have barely mentioned that claim. Instead, Diaz and Allred have contended that Whitman and her husband knew that Diaz was an illegal immigrant and hired her anyway. The problem with that assertion is that Diaz has absolutely no claim against Whitman on that basis -- an illegal immigrant has no right to sue her employer simply for hiring her. The entire brouhaha about Diaz's illegal status (and Whitman's alleged knowledge) is 100% political and 0% legal. As to that matter, Allred is simply a publicity hound, seeking to defeat Whitman in the governor's race and elect her friend Jerry Brown ("Governor Moonbeam"). Notably, Allred has not denied that she has coordinated her actions with the Brown campaign. When asked, she refused to answer. Even the Huffington Post -- hardly a right-wing rag -- referred to Allred as an "ambulance chasing attorney" and called the whole affair a "political stunt."

Obviously a Republican, huh? The maid claims she has not been paid for her work. Yes, she's illegal, but that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve to be paid for her work. Allred is representing her. How are you going to prove that she's "just doing it to interfere with an election"? If Meg Whitman had not hired and retained an illegal in her household for nine years, then fired her when she decided to run for governor, refused to pay for all the hours she worked, there would be no problem here. Allred would not be involved. Plus Whitman has been shown a liar by saying for several days that she didn't know (all employers say that, you know) when it's obvious and proven that she did. Trying to put the blame on the Brown camp, Allred or the maid is simply doing what Meg Whitman has cried/moaned/complained about all through her campaigns: lack of employee responsibility. It's hypocritical. Or at least the polls are starting to turn Brown's way after all these revelations.

She had a press conference as part of the political election campaign. She is the attorney for the maid, claiming the maid was underpaid.

ICE and the Feds can file criminal charges against the maid for false Soc. Sec. documents.

In that context it could be. the only reason it replace into "allowed" interior the Bible replace into instead to God wiping out a depraved people who would not repent and have been contaminating (certainly damning) their own toddlers, era after era. as a replace of pulling a large floor or hearth, or obliterating conflict on them, he allowed them to be taken into the residences of the righteous. ultimately many of their pagan ideals have been left in the back of and that they have been waiting to have a raffle they never had before of salvation. in basic terms enslaving somebody so which you dont might desire to %. up your guy or woman shoes is a topic. the version is, while God enables or instructions something, its justified in him. while he doesnt, and it impact somebody elses corporation, its not. Its not a right you're taking upon your self.
