What stroller would you recommend for those living in the city?
We live downtown, and do not have a car, so we use public transit and/or walk everywhere (and biking, but obviously we can't do that with the baby until she or he is 1 year old). We're hoping to do a lot of babywearing too (carrying in a wrap or carrier) but I think a stroller will still be useful for some situations.
What stroller would you recommend? It needs to be relatively small and lightweight (to be able to get it on and off streetcars/subways).

The Combi-Flare stroller sounds right up your street - its lightweight and the swivel wheels make it easy to navigate.

There is a lot more to consider such as storage (usually not much on a lightweight one, granted), cups, and so on. Be sure to read reviews before you buy as you can get a good idea of what it is like from other peoples experiences.

Uppa Baby G-Luxe. Great stroller for city living. I think it is 10 pounds and has a shoulder strap when folded up. Reclines all the way and has a HUGE sun shade. Love it, I have bought a bunch of strollers and this is my favorite. it is pricey around 150 but well worth every penny. Great on subways and busses because it is an umbrella stroller so it folds up small and self stands.

Aw, i like the lovable girly strollers! i think of I coo at them as plenty because of the fact the little ladies they convey! Hehe. whilst my son became little, I usually carried him in a toddler sling (or Snuggly, in case you prefer). It makes it plenty much less stressful to get on and stale the subway, and keeps curious strangers from getting quite so grabby. yet because of the fact you asked approximately strollers, the sole one i exploit is a jogger. we've a toddler trend (from Toys R Us) one, and it works super. We merely apply it to long journeys whilst all of us comprehend our 3 - year - previous could get sleepy, even even though it is very easy to flow. It additionally folds up particularly small, it extremely is a brilliant plus. i'm hoping you savor ny! stable success.

I loved my children's umbrella stroller. It was very lightweight and folded up nicely. It was really reasonably priced at Sears, too.
