Why do reckless driving offenses require a court appearance even if the suspect wishes to plead guilty?

    bureaucratic redundancies....

    they need the paper work to prove the charge was full filled.

    Formality would be number one. I wouldn't go in looking like a slug though.

    So the judge can view you demeanor when deciding sentencing.
