Question about French articles? (Basic French)?
A question came up when I was reading my homework. When I'm saying something like 'I am in French class', do I need to keep the le/la/l' in front of the name of the class? For example, would "Je suis dans la classe DE LE français" or "Je suis dans la classe DE français" be correct?
Thank you! c:

No, it would just be "Je suis dans la classe de francais."

"Je suis dans la classe DE français" is correct.
I just thought I would point out, though, that in French you never say "de le." De + le becomes "du." Since this doesn't apply in this case, you should be okay for now, but remember this for the future.

it truly is purely how that's. Jouer au soccer - I play soccer. The French are strange and have many, many, spelling and grammar regulations to their language. purely like "Je joue de l. a. guitaire" - I play the guitar. confident, "au" does advise 'at'. It has various meanings to it as nicely, such by way of fact the French observe "de" Have a effective day.
