Can the smell of (old) urine be harmful to a pregnant woman?

I'm a teacher and one of my students reeks awfully of urine. By the time I left the classroom today I was nauseous, I had a head ache and my eyes were so blurry I couldn't read words on a paper or see properly. Is inhaling the smell toxic for me or my baby (I'm 32 weeks pregnant).

Update:

I'm not as concerned about the girl because I spoke to everyone I could possible about taking care of the girl. I spoke to the principals, social workers, pyschologist.....

I don't think human urine is harmful but certainly not pleasant to have to smell! I'm more worried about the student and why they reek of urine? Is this everyday? Is this a child? If so, this needs to be reported. It's harmful for anyone to sit in old urine!

    Hi,

I think ammonia is made from stale urine. Check it out. Cause that cant be good fir you or the baby.
