Mice in my house-who's responsible?
A mobile home across the street from my house was condemned by the Board of Health back in May. This past week they stripped off the siding and took out the windows. Today they demolished the trailer. Since they started ripping stuff down, I have had mice in my house! I called the BOH, they said that the 2 things were probably not related, since it is fall in New England and that's what happens.I have been here for 5 years and have never had mice. In any event, they told me to contact the building department. I left messages, but no one has returned my calls. Is there any way I can get the town or the mobile home owner to pay for an exterminator?

Mice move around, especially with weather changes. Since they are a natural occurrence no one is responsible. You need to buy yourself some traps or poison, or both.

No you can't prove the mice came from there and it is very common for people to have mouse problems in the winter that's why you see all those mouse traps on display when you go to the store. Buy some it will fix your problem.

Contact OSHA! Mice are a breeding ground for disease; as are rats. Conatct OSHA.
