What sort of alternative treatment?

would be used in the case of a patient with colon cancer? Chemo has stopped working and the cancer has spread.

Basically what lo_mcg said. Completely ignore thenoseknows. Homeopathy has never been demonstrated to alter the course of any disease, or indeed have any biological effect at all.

Homeopathy is magic. It's the highest form of quackery.

I am so sorry to hear this.

You can still try alternative treatments, but be careful not to spend too much money.

One person is not the other. There are many things to say on the subject but the truth can have adverse effects.

I have heard of people that had only months to live, but still live years after, but they underwent a big personal transformation, apart from the alternative treatment. And that's most essential :

    because thoughts create tissue.

This usually takes time, patience, the right people around you to change the perception without much resistance, ... .

I can only hope you meet the right people, for the patient. Because the person that works for one, doesn't work for the other (at that right moment).

So don't forget : whatever you try, the mind needs change.

    All the best.

    Homeopathy is your best bet.

Actually, it's WAY cheaper than chemo and radiation!

And it's been not only proven in comparative studies, but in 200 years of clinical use (why is it that 80% of conventional medicine can boast of "just" clinical use, but the same criteria can't be used for other medical disciplines, hmmm?)

It's very sad that patients are offered false hope with chemo (they'll tell you you're getting "results" until the 9th hour, then they tell you it didn't work). In the meantime it poisons your whole body/wrecks your immune system. The idea that it prolongs someone's life is utterly false, and no "studies" to prove it either (how could there be?)

Conventional cancer drugs are tested on cancer cells in the lab. The notion is that if it kills them in a petri dish, it will kill them in a host. When they're used on the host, it kills the host... pretty stupid. I'm not even going to talk about what they do to lab rats.

FYI Homeopathy is geared towards the patient, not the name of the condition. You cannot take a group of people with say, arthritis, and give them all the same medication, as with pharma products. But you can assess each patient with "arthritis", prescribe them likely different medications, and cure the condition.

Cortisone-type drugs are given to people with arthritis in conventional medicine and it reduces inflammation (while causing liver and skeletal damage), and it sure doesn't cure it.

Ideally you would like to find a homeopath who specializes in cancer treatment. Some jurisdictions prohibit anyone advertising non-mainstream cancer treatment, so you should contact your local homeopathic society and ask for a referral.

I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately in this context 'alternative' is simply another way of saying 'unproven'; if a treatment has been proven to be effective, it is no longer 'alternative medicine;, it is simply 'medicine'.

I understand your desperation and your wish to search for anything that may help. But asking on this board means you are likely to be recommended ineffective and sometimes even dangerous treatments - and you can be 100% sure that the person recommending such a treatment has not treated cancer in themselves in the way they recommend, nor have they known anyone personally who has. Ask them.

The only things I can suggest are that first, you run any 'alternative' you are thinking of trying past your doctor - s/he will be able to advise you whether it is dangerous or whether it is contraindicated for any other medication you may be taking. A few people on this board, for example, regularly recommend Laetrile, also known as the fictitious Vitamin B17. As well as having been proven in clinical trials to be ineffective against cancer, it is also dangerous as it contains cyanide. Homeopathy, of course, is simply ineffective - and costly.

The other thing I suggest you do is a search on this website for facts about any alternative treatment you may be interested in before investing money and hope:

You can go looking for a miracle cure that has never been proven to work...

    OR

You can spend as much time as you can with your loves one and let the doctors do what they do best; try and save lives.

    Please consult a Homeopath .

In the meantime try Causticum-30 (Liquid) thrice daily for 2 weeks

    ( 4 drops in half a cup of water = 1 dose )

In case of pain try 4 tablets of Mag.Phos-3x with a cup of warm water on SOS basis.
