Hair colouring advice needed?
I have been bleaching my light/darkish brown hair for 24 years and its now taken its toll. I've had my hair cut to remove all the damaged length of hair but there is still alot of bleach blonde hair. I decided to let it grow out and have it cut regularly but the combination of dark roots and the bleached look awful. I would like it colour it pink (no bleach involved) but don't know how to do this to get an even colour, can anyone offer any sensible advice please????
Would like to have it done professionally at the hairdressers but unfortunately finances won't allow this to be possible just yet.

I'd advise dying it with a semi-permanent dye of your natural colour until the bleached hair grows out, because semi-permanent dye is less harmful than permanent, and it will even out the colour of your hair until it is ready to be re-dyed pink.

You have been lightening it so much that it's void of...anything.
Dye it a very dark colour. Black even. After that, maybe you can try dying it what you want, but definitely deepen the colour. It really helps your hair.

I wouldn't color it until you are totally grown out, or you are going to get a crazy combination of colors.
