Why is the food catering on a movie set called "craft services"?

    "In film, television or video production, crafts service or crafty refers to the department which provides food services to the other departments, or *crafts* (camera, sound, electricians, grips, props, art director, set decorator, hair and makeup, background)."

    Um.. just what would YOU call it? Show business is a CRAFT as is CARPENTRY and BRICK LAYING and tons of OTHER professions that are called CRAFTS and THEY ALL EAT.
