Something stuck in the oven?

I was cooking potatos in the oven when one of them fell in the bottom where the over lights up how do i get it out

    Let the oven cool down and then reach in with a pair of tongues.

    Turn off the oven and let it cool. Use tongs, such as for a BBQ or a BBQ fork. If the potato is too big to come up between the heating elements, use a long knife and cut it to a size that can be removed easily.
