What do industries want more from a college graduate?

Well I am currently a freshman in Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and am planning on getting my Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering and am wondering what do large industries such as Nasa, Lockheed Martin prefer to see within ones resume. A 3.8 - 4.0 GPA in regular courses, a 3.75-3.9 in the Honors Program, or just alot of experience projects and a so so GPA(like 3.5)?

They mostly hire NASA Coops and a Masters Degree actually hurts your chances. Why you may ask? Because they have learned that an inexperienced Masters degree is hardly any better then an inexperienced Bachelors degree. NASA pays according to your degree. I believe a Bachelor gets paid at a GS-11 where as a Masters gets paid at a GS-13, so they would rather pay at a GS-11 rate and train them. If you want to work for NASA/Lockheed Martin/Boeing you may want to stay at a Bachelor and apply to be a coop.

    I work for NASA (JSC)

I work with lots of MIT and ivy league engineering nerds straight out of college that don't know jack about the real world. Techs with 10 years experience run rings around them.

My vote- Experience and a 3.5 gpa.
