I'm finding myself very tired most of the time. What's going on?

I get an average of 8 hours of sleep per night. I'm a 20 year old female. I work on average 8 hours a day. I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I drink plenty of water. I get an average amount of exercise as I'm on my feet for the time that I'm working. I don't have a lot of stress in my life. So why am I so out of energy all the time? I get tired early, I feel sluggish more than what I'd assume to be normal. If there's anything else you need to know, just let me know and I'll do my best. I'd just like to get to the bottom of this issue.

I go through the same ordeal you've encountered. Every so often I fall into that routine for a week to almost a month. I suggest finding something that motivates you, therefore you're more entertained to distract your thoughts of sleeping. Also, I find drinking a little bit of coffee works wonders in the morning, it'll keep you in focus for most of the school hours, if not all of it. If you don't have enough time in the morning when getting ready, I suggest either buying a Starbucks "Double Shot" or something related that you can drink during school or beforehand. I'm 15, so I can relate. My school sells Latte drinks in the morning, which help a lot when I can't make the last minute trip to the gas station. Getting on a better sleeping schedule may help you as well, for instance, on the weekends I'd stay up until 5 A.M, then when it was time to fall asleep on Sunday, I wouldn't be able to fall asleep 'til around 2-3 A.M, causing my entire sleeping schedule to be thrown off track, thus ruining most of the week. There are also pills such as Caffeine pills that work wonders too, they'll help you concentrate if you usually fall asleep during the first few hours of school. Best of luck to maintaining a good schedule.

Most people manage quite well on 7 or 8 hours of sleep per night but some people actually need 9 or 10 hours so perhaps you need more sleep.
