The arena was still and tranquil and the weather provided a luminous park. Bill and the pitcher both loitered there, making subtle movements. The pitcher threw the ball, curving it to distort the ball's trajectory. Bill hit the ball and made a home run. The crowd cheered as the pitcher displayed a ghastly look on his face. Bill cheered as he just made the pitcher's perfect game obsolete.
