The dumbest in the hope that I can learn from the people who are much smarter than me.

If my intelligence level could not change through experience and learning I would prefer to be the smartest person as it would not make sense to me not being able to evolve.

That's interesting the way you put it because of a couple of things. One; it could be unbearable to be the smartest by your own intelligence level if you aren't too smart to begin with. Two; if you are the dumbest(same intelligence level), it could be massively confusing; never getting jokes or the point to many things. I think at least being the smartest, you have the potential to affect things for the better...while being the dumbest will probably exclude you from many things.

As long as I am at MY best, it doesn't matter where I stand in the world. If I am the dumbest at my best, that fine and so is being the smartest.

I'd rather get the smarts... I know that I would switch between pitying other people's intelligence and depressed/angry at their stupidity if I were the smartest person on earth, but I'd hate to be enjoying ignorance by relying on others, with the vague sense of inferiority.

If the intellectual level remains stasis in a world of smarts & dumbs the choice of extremes have parameters in the hierarchy of people in smart dress, wit, cunningness, appearances etc. are all external features. In a world of competitions , choices & deception it helps for a short phase. If survival is imperative then the Darwinian hypothesis should be the choice to be the smartest, for being dumb in a world of selfishness & desires would mean to perish.

Dumbest for sure. Ignorance is bliss, plus God takes care of the childlike and simple minded. Plus what you don't know won't hurt you. There's to much responsibility if your smart. And also another quote from the Bible says " He who gains wisdom, increases sorrow.

    the dumbest

Since my level of intelligence doesn't change,

and I know I'm not exactly [insert clever person's name] as it is,

I would not subject the world to dumbing down anyone who actually had a shot of improving/saving/continuing the human race.

Because, honestly, how can any of you say that you would let your current brain level run (or something) the entire world??

well, if civilization consisted only of what i could create or cause to come to fruition, then things'd be pretty sparse around here. i guess i'm gonna have to say the dumbest 'cause i like cool sh!t that works right and bridges and airplanes and all that other stuff. i've already had a president dumber than me and that pretty much sucked.

The dumbest. I'd be expected to do a lot less instead of being depended upon.
