Spiritually speaking, what do you think is the best way to approach a difficult situation?

Trying to consider the situation from as many angles & points of view as possible before making a decision. If you haven't checked out "The Manual" by Epictetus, I highly recommend it. He was a Greek Stoic who had a lot of wisdom about dealing with life's thorny problems and presented it in a way that the ordinary Man could understand and implement. In a way, he was the "self help" guru of his time. I'm thinking of him related to your question, because he would say, we make better decisions when we think them thru. His philosophy is a way of thinking thru problems. Plus, an insightful way of looking at life. One of his beau mots is "circumstances are beyond your control" and boy is that true. We think we can control circumstances but we can't. What we can control is how we react to them and where we put our energy.

But seriously, I try not to act on them before I haven take at least a step back to really appreciate the context... unless urgent action needs to be done, which is rarely the case. Most of the time, I come with a delicate way to face them honestly.

Depends on the difficult situation at hand. There are some that may call for a cautious approach, some that demand action and some that are best avoided completely.

Spiritually speaking, I would approach a difficult situation in prayer. I would pray for God's grace, wisdom and strength to guide me and I would then wait, in confidence, for a resolution to present itself. The more difficult the situation, the more time needs to be spent in prayer.

To counteract the ninja moves as posted above, you go at it like a pirate. Peg-leg an all. Have the parrot on your left shoulder piss all over it...That's a good distraction

The best way to approach a difficult situation is with great caution, and you don't have speak spiritually to do it; just do it.
