  • Ron Paul and the Christian Right?

I've been a fan of Ron Paul ever since he stood up to the war machine when Dubya was in office. I admire and agree with his position on foreign policy, the Federal Reserve and the incursions of our civil liberties via FISA & Patriot Act. However, of late I've felt uneasy over his proximity of the Christian right. And now he is courting them and beating the drum for their causes. Ron Paul supporters how do you feel about this?

  • What is the difference between an illegal and an American corporation using foreign labor?

Both are taking jobs away from us only one is scapegoated and the other hides their greed by blaming "government" which really works for them. Personally, I think an illegal has more integrity and decency than these multi-million dollar bonus execs we bailed out under 2 Presidents.

  • Who else thinks Dominic Strauss-Kahn was set up?

I do. His accuser not only contradicted herself on key points but also has ties to money and drug laundering. And we chased him down on his way to the airport and put him in jail and then house arrest based on the word of 1 woman. People like to point to his case as a shining example of how justice is blind and the rich don't get special treatment but what ordinary man accused this way with no priors would be jailed for fear of fleeing? And before you bring up the fact that Strauss-Kahn is French, his political career would be finito if he skipped out on the trial. The media even implied DSK was running away from capture but never said whether he had an airline reservation. You'd think they would have mentioned that if they paint him as a man on the run, right? And, finally, if his one and only accuser's testimony has fallen apart, why have the charges not been dropped?

  • Atheists: what do you think of self-proclaimed atheist, Camille Paglia's famous assertion?

    "God is man's greatest idea."

How do you take that? Not trying to lead to an answer here. Just curious.

  • Obama W. Bush contacts: will you miss him?

My beloved and most heretical contact, "Obama W Bush" just got booted off "YA" for being an inciter of hate speech that those of us who know and love his wicked sense of political humor know is a bunch of bunk. He was a star on this site who brought much needed bipartisan humor to the game.

For those of you who know, love & will miss the guy, this is your space to share your stories. For the rest, go to hell! There, I said it & will prolly get reported to the teach for it but I don't care. He was an institution on this page & I will sorely miss him.

    Serious responses only please!

  • Should Charlie Sheen run for President?

I mean he broke the Guinness book of records for Twitter followers in only 25 hours so he's already got the "grass roots" covered?

  • Are You Living the Sheen Dream?

    And what's your favorite Sheen-ism?

My personal fave: on banging porn stars: "They're the best at what they do and I'm the best at what I do. And together it's like, it's on. Sorry, Middle America. Yeah, I said it."("20/20.")

  • Do having reasons validate cheating?

If I stole $100 from your wallet to take my friend out to dinner on her birthday and was cash short, would it be okay that I stole from you because I had a good reason for it? If not, how is cheating on your partner different?

BQ: How many of you would rather I take your money than your partner from you?

  • Liberals-are you happy with the job Obama has done?

Has he delivered on his promises to you, as he claimed? Are you okay with the war in Afghanistan? Do you approve of healthcare reform that forces people to carry coverage they might not be able to afford? Do you approve of continued tax cuts for the rich? And with both the house & the senate in his pocket 2 years, how long are you going to blame Dubya?

Republicans, I already know you hate him, regardless of what he does.

  • How many of you think Assange's trial is a kangaroo court?

One of the women accused him of forcing herself on her and then forcing himself on her 4 days later. I dunno about you but if a man forced himself on me once, I wouldn't go back for seconds. Assange is vilified but it seems to me we should be angry at our government for lying to us about the wars. Torture is condoned and thousands of under reported civilians casualties.

BQ: Does the left now condone the very abuses (TSA & more wars) they attacked under Dubya?

  • Why is it so hard to stay committed?

Why is it so hard to love our partner/spouse, let alone our neighbor? Is the problem in them, in us, in the pressures from society, in making ends meet? Why do couples who promised to love and cherish each other break up or divorce?

  • Spiritually speaking, does the ego really exist?

Or is it a marketing ploy to keep shrinks and new age gurus in business.

  • Spiritually speaking, how do I deal with getting reported to the teach?

I had such a great day today until I came home and found out one of my sincere R&S questions about farts and faith got "reported to the teach." Before I came home, I pledged my eternal (yet still up for sale) devotion to Satan, I spread foul gossip about a coworker with a serious disability, I misused company time to place a personal ad for a little fun on the side and drove home at least 15 miles over the speed limit. Then THIS happens. I went from having the perfect day to being down in the dumps. How do I cope? Cheap malt liqour? Hours in front of the idiot box watching reality tv shows on repeat? Or some other way to redeem what had been a beautiful day b4 a report monkey went medieval on my unsuspecting tooshee?

Serious responses only. And please, pretty please, don't report this honest injun quest-shun to the teach either?

  • Republicans: Do you consider military service men and women....?
