Who else thinks Dominic Strauss-Kahn was set up?

I do. His accuser not only contradicted herself on key points but also has ties to money and drug laundering. And we chased him down on his way to the airport and put him in jail and then house arrest based on the word of 1 woman. People like to point to his case as a shining example of how justice is blind and the rich don't get special treatment but what ordinary man accused this way with no priors would be jailed for fear of fleeing? And before you bring up the fact that Strauss-Kahn is French, his political career would be finito if he skipped out on the trial. The media even implied DSK was running away from capture but never said whether he had an airline reservation. You'd think they would have mentioned that if they paint him as a man on the run, right? And, finally, if his one and only accuser's testimony has fallen apart, why have the charges not been dropped?

BQ: Do you think this changes his chances at catching Sarkozy in the upcoming Presidential elections?

Update:

Guys..they have her transcript from talking to a criminal in prison about all the money should could make on this and she's received $100K from a big time drug dealer. Who among you would want this kind of woman slinging mud at you? Yes he's a dog but so are most politicians and high rollers, truth be known. Not all of them get filleted for it. Say what you will about the man's character, he did good work as the head of the IMF and did his best to represent the poorer countries.

It could have been a setup, or he could have been unlucky to get tagged for something he tried to do all the time. We will never know. It is up to a jury, and I imagine that both sides will be fighting hard to either get him or acquit him, based on their partisan preferences.

It's like being Governor of Illinois. Four of the last seven have gone to prison. Coincidence? Or is it that the Feds just won't leave us alone!!! Maybe Blago is guilty, but how many other governor's telephones are wiretapped by the FBI? I'll bet Sarah Palin made some choice comments as Governor. Maybe that is why she resigned.

The French reaction is strange. The very reason unfastened international places do the perp walk like interior the united kingdom and US is that the guy is harmless until eventually shown in charge and the folk get to work out who the government is arresting. In France and different international places, the accused does not have the presumption of innocence. that's easy for armed thugs to happen interior the direction of the nighttime and individuals are in basic terms disappeared, in no thank you to be considered returned. The cameras are there to guard this guy's rights! For France to physique this as an embarrassment whilst that's to guard the rights of the accused is easy backwards.

Not a setup. Several women came out to corroborate the story. He just got lucky she's a drug dealer. The prosecutor's office is playing a schizo game however. They want him to escape to France so they don't have to persecute. Its gotten to be a farce.

Is it legal to rape women as long as they have a family member who is suspected of a crime?

I think anyone that can pay $3000 a night in a hotel room have enough power to discredit witnesses...

From day one something about this story did not sound right to me. There's no way of knowing if he did it or not, but I feel like there is something fishy
