After workout my knees feel weak. Is it a problem?

When I walk it is okay but when I try to sit, they feel very .... weak....like they "automatically" bend or something....i don't know how to explain it differently. Is it a problem, or dangerous?

Update:

no...i just did some simple workouts...no weights....i am not exactly skinny but not overweight. i just did some excercise and my knees feel weak

did you ever injure your knees or are you carrying excess weight? overweight folks have lots of knee issues. working out is good just don't overdo it. lift weights 2 or 3 times a week for no more than 45 minutes each time. walk everyday for 30 to 60 minutes. take one day off a week.

also, you can strengthen you knees buy making your quadriceps or quad (the muscle just ABOVE your knee) muscles stronger. the way to do that is 'squats'. they're difficult to do so start with just the olympic weight bar. make sure the bar is not on your neck/spine but rather on the back of your shoulders and use the squat rack in case you get low and get stand up again. if you're too afraid of doing squats right now you can do squats on the smith machine or you can do leg press with the machines. it's not as effective as it's an isolated exercise but it will strengthen your quads. also, biking will help with leg muscles.
