How much child support should I pay for two kids at $10.30 an hour in Florida?

I just got my child support order finalized and they slapped me with $704 a month in child support! I am not a lawyer or nothing, but that seems super high for my current hourly wage, not to mention my rent is $705 and it's due the same day as my child support. What am I supposed to do? I can't afford to pay both! I need help! Any information will gladly be appreciate it.

It's close enough, so they likely included a percentage of the cost of daycare. Did you attend the hearing? This will teach you more about child support.

Florida uses a Child Support Chart. You literally match the number of kids to the amount of your income and the other parent's income and that is what you pay. Go to this website for an estimate:

Items such as medical care and private schooling can add to your child support.

Child support should be around 27 percent of your income for 2 children

Florida IS super high when it comes to child support.

Their only concern is that of the child. The most you can do is talk to the mother of your kids and ask if she will speak to the courts about lowering your payment.

Consider yourself lucky, my brother (who used to live in Fl) had to pay almost a grand a month for his two boys.

Try this calculator and see what you come up with.

some people pay like a 100 for child support.I heard of people who pay 300. The Government pretty much doesn't really care if u can make your child support or not. You have to pay your child support or else. Maybe u could argue to get it lowered.
