Question about a job making checks, more details inside. Thank you?

So I was not working and decided to place an ad on the internet. My work ad was : looking for any office or selling items on ebay job.

So like two days later, I got an email from a lady telling that she works for a company based in India. she algo gave me some information about it and a web site,

Once we start chatting, she told me they were looking for an employee within us to work as payroll clerk or making checks for poeple that they buy materials from.

The first thing, I would have to buy a software wich I did and then they gave a back account information with $128,000.00 and I would have to start making payments to different ppl.

The first check was for a lady in Dallas for $26,000.00 but before that they told me to go to five different ups or fedex to pick up airway bills envelopes.

sso my schedule was going to be 9 hours a week and my payment would be $1200.00 per month.

so I really don't know if this work is legal at all or IF its just a scam and am losing my time.

So what do you guys think about it? please advice me. Should I leave it?

Thanks a lot

David

This is a SCAM and illegal. First they are scamming you by asking you to buy software. Then they are involving you in felony money laundering, bank fraud and tax evasion which is illegal and can land you in federal prison for up to 10 years

DO NOT respond to these people at all. Contact your local Secret Service field office ASAP to report this http://www.secretservice.gov/field_offices.shtml

A real business is required by law to have a business banking account. The fact they are not using a business banking account is because they are trying to avoid IRS regulations and are breaking Treasury Department rules that all transactions over $10,000 must be reported to the Treasury

How could you be a payroll clerk if you have not met the company, have not been fingerprinted and bonded, and do not have a contract. Did they ever give you a W9 form to fill out? That's even more evidence of tax evasion is they didn't

Do not respond to ths person for any reason - keep copies of ALL correspondence and any checks you receive, along with the envelopes they were sent in and get in touch with the Secret Service. That check is fake and you DO NOT want to be caught in possession of these checks

This is a scam. What you are doing is illegal, you will be arrested for passing fraudulent cheques, you will in all likelihood go to jail.

If you process any of these cheques through your bank account you will be charged with money laundering, and you will lose any bank accounts you have.

    Please read this forum http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3...

Do not post, deposit, or process any further cheques from this person. Any you do have, write "FAKE" across them.

You can report this to your local Law Enforcement, you will need copies of all correspondence you have received from the scammer, but it is possible that your local LE will view your involvement very poorly if you have processed or deposited any cheques.

Do not correspond with this scammer anymore, ignore, and do not answer any further emails, keep on file all correspondence received so far for your own protection.

If you have deposited any cheques in your bank account and drawn against them, you need to inform your bank NOW that the cheques are fake, before your bank has them returned and you become liable for passing fraudulent cheques. You will be responsible for any money withdrawn against the cheques, and your bank will take all possible steps to recover their money.

    Stop all involvement NOW.
