Why does Marijuana make you act strange?

alot of older guys always say "when i was a kid... we had great music. We had the BEATLES and the BEACH BOYS.. and HENDRIX. Why arent kids today making music that is as perfect as the beatles"

i think my generation and younger are making great music..but i said:

"because your generation refused to legalize pot and you stiffened pot penalties over the years, remember?"

That great music of the 60's.. was written by stoners.

Pot is a songwriter's steroids.

Why does it make you act weird? I dont know. The brain is capable of astounding things you cant imagine possible. But sometimes.. in order to make your brain perform certain tasks........ you need to feed it a drug of some kind.

For example. Your brain is capable of PROFOUND hallucinations (other worldliness) ...but to achieve that state of being.... you need a drug that invokes those visions (hallucinogens).

but i dont recommend drugs at all.

They were outlawed for sensible reasons (with the exception of pot. That was outlawed due to racism against mexicans who were considerened "a crazy race of people because of pot use" by political men of 1920.. .and other ridiculous reasons)

Pot does indeed make you think deeper. It makes you hear things in music you never realized or heard before. It makes you notice things you would never have noticed before.

For example.... I never knew a certain actress wore a wig.. UNTIL i looked at her while stoned during a tv interview. Then her hair looked ANYTHING but like real hair. Pot reveals things you wouldnt realize before.

I smoked it quite a bit during my teen years (i was hanging with the heavy metal music crowd) and a bit in university...but.. eventually i realized that I respect the law and dont want to run afoul of it and ruin my career and relationships etc.

If i ever smoked a joint in front of my fiancee... she'd storm out of here and I'd never see her again. She doesn't even allow a six pack of beer in the house.

But.. yah... it DOES open your mind deeper than it would be normally. That is why people meditate while stoned.

I could come up with funnier jokes at parties when I was stoned. And it wasnt a hallucination of me THINKING i was funnier. The laughs at my comments were hardier than normal. Was everybody hallucinating?

Pot makes you wittier.

But... it also made me drowsy. Too drowsy. Pot is the safest sleeping pill known to man. The only sleeping pill nobody has ever overdosed on.

whatever benefits came from pot.. wouldnt last long in my case. I'd be zonked out asleep after about 2 hours of being stoned.

I have never successfully smoked pot... and stayed awake until the high was totally gone.

Seriously, for the most part marijuana smells like crap and makes one act like it, only rarely it makes you "realize" something. Sometimes marijuana only makes you think for a bit and then...it shuts down and you feel stupider than before. Like a sugar rush, makes you feel hyper for like 30 mins then your more tired than b4 when it wears off

It's a hallucinogenic herb, makes you think you can do things you normally could not do.
