electronic diodes germanium in34 type for a electronic circuit board im working on?
I am looking to purchase 4 germanium diodes 1n34 type seems impossible for me to purchase these ,can anyone help in my search so i can complete a small circuit project.
I have tried many places in the world.

Have you tried ebay? The item I linked is about $5.50 for a lot of 10, shipping included. U.S. seller.
Yes, the 1N34A is interchangeable with the 1N34.
If you don't want to use ebay the second link below has them also. Not sure what they'll want for shipping - I didn't get that far.

You could try the link below for similar germanium diodes.
But there may be 2 alternatives. The first is to use Schottky diodes, these have low forward voltage, comparable to germanium diodes. The second is to buy germanium transistors (like AC127 or AC128) and use the base and emitter connections only. This should give similar results to using diodes.

The 1n34 diode is principally a low signal level RF detector. It was very popular in the 1950's through the 1980's. I probably have 1 or 2 in my vintage scrap box. One hobbyist application was for crystal set radios without the bother of the Galena ore crystals and cats whisker probing.
