What do you think all the rest of religions will do when prayer is part of public schools?

The schools can't require prayer, but they can allow kids to pray.

I'd actually like to see nondevotional religious study. Kids should learn about the different world religions - maybe then they'd see through the BS

The whole idea of prayer in public schools is nothing more than Christians using a public forum [and their children ] to showboat their religion

    Do the timeline

Start the clock when little Jason and little Jennifer wake up and stop the clock when little Jason and little Jennifer are seated at their desks in a public school and then convince me that somewhere in that 2 hour [?] period that little Jason and little Jennifer can't find 2 minutes to pray to whatever they need to pray to.

"Pray right along with the Christian kids. Prayer in school is not LED by the teacher. It's just time set aside to allow kids to pray in any way they see fit."

And what about the religions that dont pray? Or what about atheists and agnostics? That is using school time for religion.

In Scotland we have Denominational/Faith schools and Non-Denominational/Non Faith Schools. Roman Catholic schools have prayers Non-Denominational schools don't.

I've seen on American courts and money "In God We Trust", so what's the problem? non Catholics can send their kids to Denominational Schools but ask for them not to take part in Mass or Religious Ceremonies, RC kids can go to Non-Denominational Schools in which case there are no Religious ceremonies but if the parents want religion to be part of their lives, take their children to Mass on their own time.

Personally I think that kids should have some sort of Faith until they are old enough to make the decision on their own.

I don't think it will have any bearing on other religions but the people have to want it first.

Every morning school should be opened with the lords prayer... Those not wanting to say it may not but it should be there for those that want it... Please force no religion on anyone let them choose but we are to be tolerant and have the freedom of choice in this country that means Christians also...

Prayer already is part of public schools; many coaches pray with athletes before a game, and if you don't think students pray before an exam, you're fooling yourself.

Prayer is not allowed in public schools. They can't even say the pledge of allegiance anymore.

When I was a kid, we opened each and every day with the pledge. What was so harmful about that?

I'm less concerned with prayer in schools and MORE concerned with the teachers unions defending rotten teachers who don't do their jobs.
