Well, if you are a freshman or sophomore, then try to convince them to switch schools. If you are a junior or senior, work very hard and trust me, when you get into a good college it will pay off. College is the best time of your life. Don't you want to go?

Can you do independent study at home? Some public schools have that option. Ask your parents or check with your counselor.

If your grades are good, sometimes independent study is better because you work at your own pace and you can get ahead. They also offer lots of help with choosing colleges and scholarships and such.

If your grades are bad, it also helps because you don't have the distraction of the negative social aspects of attending school.

My son attended Options for Youth for his last two years of high school and really enjoyed it and was really successful with it. OFY is really a charter school, but it is like the independent study programs that are offered at public schools.

We live in California, but you can check online to see if anything like it is available where you live. But do ask your counselor about it. Your parents might like it, too, because it teaches you to be responsible on your own for your work, but you still have to answer to the "teacher" at the school.

    Does this help a bit?

You should stay there then after the four years you could leave high school.
