ALGEBRA HELP TT______TT?
Hi everyone, so we need to make a picture using conic sections as a project and I want to know...if there is anyway to find the equation of a parabola if you ONLY have the vertex? We need to find the focus of all parabolas that is in our picture, but I can find that out IF I can find the equation. If someone can help me I would gladly appreciate it.

No.
Consider y = x^2, y = 2x^2 and any other y = a x^2.
All have the same vertex at (0, 0)
You need 3 points, or the equivalent.
If one of the points is the vertex,
then by symmetry you can deduce a third point from the second.
