Ruby Slippers For Halloween?

I'm gonna be Dorothy for Halloween and I have a pair of red shoes that I plan to turn into ruby slippers. I was gonna cover them in glitter, but I don't know what type of glue to use. If anybody has any other techniques, please share. Thanks!

    ELMERS GLUE will work good.

    just buy your regular red glitter glue or use glue to stick on red glitter that's a bit larger in size

    michael's had an awesome fabric glue!! and great selection on glitter
