Can mexican refugees, get asylum ,if they can get the mean Americans to quit calling them illegal immigrants?

legally speaking, Mexicans have always been able to apply for asylum. a few have actually gotten it. as for the military question, have you heard many Mexicans calling for help from the US army lately? I haven't.

We are "willing to try to save Afghanistan from their terrorist oppressors" because the guys who masterminded the 9/11 attacks were hiding out there, so we went there to destroy them and anything associated with them. We always help to rebuild the countries we destroy in war. We don't need to send our military into Mexico, we just need to completely seal the border and let the Mexican government deal with it's own mess. "Mean Americans" my butt; we give more in foreign aid than any other nation on this earth. Why are we also being expected to support the world's unskilled, least literate criminals, too?

THEIR government should be doing something about thes drug lords, NOT us! If these people came forward AS refugees and properly asked for asylum because their PERSONAL lives were in danger - that is one thing, but when they sneak over the border, how the hell do WE know if they are truly in danger or just more drug dealers flooding into our country! Try doing the reverse INTO their country, and see how far you will get!

They are not refugee in any true sense of the word.

Asylum from what ? You have an interesting thought process,have you ever talked to a mental health professional about it?

They are not refugees there weaklings not standing up to keep there own country. So they sneak over to the USA and demand we give them amnesty and all out rights. There on the drugs there bringing over thinking we will ever go that route.Not into Mexico but on our Borders if they want help than show us where they want the predictor drones and we will send them.

Asylum is a request and is granted or not. Ilegal entry is illegal entry is illegal entry. Every nation has the right to control who crosses their border.

Well, I heard that they are the largest group applying for Asylum in Canada, and they just put new visa restrictions on them because they were overloading their system...and when Canada restricts you, you know something is up. They let in damn near everyone .

Why dont they move further south into Mexico instead? I dont call them illegal immigrants by the way, I call them ILLEGAL INVADERS MOOCHING OFF US TAXPAYER DOLLARS, just so we're clear.

No. Asylum is a very specific claim. The Mexican government is a US ally and it does not systematically oppress its people, or put them in fear of persecution.

So they are 'economic refugees' as are Haitians and most others. Cubans are automatically eligible for asylum though.

We do train quite a few Mexican policemen and soldiers and supply a lot of military aid to Mexico. I'm sure we'd be happy to send 'advisers' or even troops if they requested them, but they will not.

The best thing we can do for them is to prevent Americans from buying illegal drugs and tighten our gun control laws, since 80% of the weapons the gangs use there were lawfully purchased in the USA.

It's extremely interesting to me how many of you view illegal aliens. They were here before you, but you don't call yourselves a people who exiled another race of people. What arrogance you have in believing, that your ancestors was born here, and everybody else just happen to show up. Your history books have given you such a diluted view on who you really are.
