At least in my city, the town admin introduced kestrels in order to get rid of the pigeons during the bird-flu scare. I'm not saying it was a good move, because the kestrels don't differentiate between pigeons and caged birds. A friend of mine saw a kestrel land on her canary's cage that was in the windowsill, and pull her canary out thru the bars (in pieces.)
Falcons are birds of prey and they will take any animal small enough for them to kill: pigeons and other birds, rats, kittens, even small dogs. It's their nature and you can't stop it if the bird is wild. You also can't shoot the falcon as they are protected. Pigeons however are not. These days pigeons are seen as nuisance birds because they breed fast and take over any area they choose to nest in, filling it with droppings which carry diseases like salmonella and listeria.

let them out at different times for exercise as the falcon or hawk will be waiting for them.at the time but they stand out for miles circling the loft.in hard training,
if sending them on training keep in metro area as outskirts falcons await.
if racing your pigeons then nothing to do but breed enough to have any left to get to the longer races as a tired racing pigeon is easier catch on race days.for the falcon.

You can't stop the FALCON from killing the pigeons , you can only stop the PIGEONS (if you own them) from being killed.
And if they are indeed your pets, then I guess you're not a good enough pet owner to build a big safe outdoor aviary to house your pigeons in.

you sure you own those pigeons? most people who want a bird like that get a nice dove, not a dirty pigeon which is only a scavenger type bird.
i bet your crazy and think the dirty pigeons eating out of your trash can are your property.
i agree with answer #1, embrace the majesty that is the mighty falcon.
FALCON PUNCH!!!!!

Keep your pigeons in a wildlife proof cage or aviary. If you are supplying a free easy meal..birds and other predators are bound to come and take it. It is up to YOU to keep your pets safe. The wildlife is just doing what it naturally does.

oh, you meant a wild falcon? you can't. keep the pigeons away from it (or baby chicken or whatever).

Why do you want to keep pigeons, the city dwelling flying rat.
They are dirty and disease ridden.
Embrace the power of the falcon. The most beautiful and majestic bird in the sky.
