its my 37th week just started and i'm already dialated to 3 cm. this is my 2nd pregnancy, this time i have been having terrible pain in my tailbone and rectum almost since 5th month specially at night. it becomes worst when baby stretches (which baby does all the time).

now since one month terrible contractions have started on and off but pain with these contractions is unbearable it is sharp and shooting. i have a feeling, if i will go through natural birth instead of choosing c-section i will end up

with malfunctioned tailbone and hemmoroides piles etc. plz suggest wt shuld i do.

Pain medication will not affect your tailbone, nor will birth. Hemorrhoids may happen whether or not you accept medications. The medication is not the cause or prevention of hemorrhoids.

I had contractions (3-4 minutes apart) for 6 days before I delivered my first child, on that last day the pain got worse and I opted for an epidural (dilated to a 2, and fully effaced). I delivered 45 minutes later.

You are already having a difficult time, go ahead and allow yourself to relax during the last part.

If you really are having a hard time making the decision, do some research on alternative pain management tools, or maybe birthing medications that take the edge off without the extras...

My mother was a labor and delivery nurse for 15 years, before epidurals they would deliver baby's in 25mg of benadryl and some phenergan.

Well I would ask your doctor which is best due to the pain your having... However, I had a C-section and yes the delivery is beautiful cause you don't feel a thing (however, you cant see anything either) But when the anesthesia starts falling off...OOH you feel everything! and trust me it's not fun... I wish I would've had a normal birth because I probably would've enjoyed my baby a little more when I delivered, but unfortunately, I was in so much pain that I didn't get to enjoy my baby as much the first day...

mothers who supply start at abode are much less probably to choose discomfort relief as a results of them being extra comfortable contained in the familar atmosphere of abode. although, drugs accessible at abode births will variety in accordance to the place you reside. maximum areas will furnish Entonox ('gas and air' - a mix of Nitrous Oxide, or giggling gas, and Oxygen), the midwife will carry it with right here while she arrives. TENS machines could be rented out from the NHS or from a community chemist that has the provider. A TENS gadget makes use of electric powered bursts to interupt the discomfort messages occurring your innovations. Many mothers swear by using birthing swimming pools for offering discomfort relief, you may lease them or purchase them from many companies.

nothing will happen to your tailbone. your baby may be posteior, back and tailbone pain often occur wth this presentation. I had back labor, i loved, no pain meds. it was bareable and my tail bone did not brake. But there are more risks than a hurt tailbone and hemmeroids with a c-section.

nobody can tell you what to do, but if it can lead to a health problem doing the natural birth, you should suggest a C-section... i hope everything goes well for you and good luck... also, you can do water birth which is what i am planning. if your labour is bad, tell the doctor or nurses you want to go in the bath tub. thats what my sister just did and she barely felt nothing, it relaxes the baby and it is a faster process
