Who were your favorite players when you were growing up?
I grew up as a Minnesota Twins fan, and I followed Kirby Puckett, Kent Hrbeck and Gary Gietti. I was a big fan of Gietti, wanted to be a 3rd. baseman and for a while whenever I played any sports, like basketball, softball or baseball, I wore #8.

Obviously, I'm a Giants fan. I grew up in little league playing first base. I was always an all-field, no-anything else player, and I absolutely loved JT Snow. He has been my favorite all-time player. Such a good person, such a good role model for kids, and an incredible player.
JT is quality.

Greg Maddux, he was part of one of the best pitching staffs in recent history. He also had precision, velocity for a while, presence, and he had an intellect and love of the game. My favorite hitter has been more recent with Josh Hamilton becoming the emotional story of this century and having a stellar season becoming part of the Elite.

Nomar Garciaparra and Pedro Martinez. It's a shame both of their careers got cut off relatively short.
