Should we replace the baseboard heaters in our house?
We have an all electric house with baseboard heat. The heaters are very simple. Each room has a separate thermostat which can be set to a certain temperature. The brand of thermostat is "FASCO".
Some rooms are way too warm (bathrooms) and some are too cool. The thermostats don't seem to work too well. And there are no automatic timers, just one setting.
Should we look into more efficient heaters and smarter thermostats? Which brands of heaters and thermostats do you recommend?

With electric heaters they are all 100% efficient at providing heat for the amount of power they consume so it won't matter what brand. As for thermostats Honeywell has a programmable line voltage heating only thermostat that will help control those heaters much better than that Fasco one.

No, don't replace your heaters. New thermostats are all you may need. Line voltage thermostats are not, by nature, highly accurate. Buy your replacements at Lowes or Home Depot. Save your receipts and if they don't perform like you wish, return them for others.

Sounds to me like all you need is better thermostats.Go to your local hardware store and tell them what you have now and ask them if they have something that will control the temperature better. If the thermostats don't correct the problem you still have the option of buying different heaters.Good Luck to you ,Rusty
