Do you find it funny that NOW denounced Meg Whitman?

I mean, she would have been the first female governor in California, but they agreed with Jerry Brown, calling her a political whore. LMFAO. and her hometown newspaper said Jerry was the appropriate choice for governor.

Update:

NOW is the National Organization for Women

NOW once upon a time, 20 years ago, had people listening to any "word" they uttered. Today they are impotent and useless and their lucky if "anybody" gives anything they say, any attention.

Yes, NOW is a womens rights organization and they did not feel Whitman despite being a woman would pursue womens issues which are the foundation of any strong society. Being a woman does not make a person empathetic or more inclined to help other women especially Republican women. They are hard-boiled and competitive but not necessarily concerned about people. All of the newspapers know what Jerry Brown can do in this state of 37 million people. Whitman did not have governance experience and since that was Arnold's downfall, they did not have faith in her. Since she had not been interested in politics until the GOP approached her last year, how can we believe in her.

No, but it is ironic. The purpose of NOW isn't to endorse a person based solely on their gender and it never has been. They endorse people they believe will support their key issues. Currently, those include abortion rights/reproductive issues, violence against women, constitutional equality, promoting diversity/ending racism, lesbian rights, and economic justice. Based on the positions and actions by Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown, NOW chose to endorse Brown for governor.

NOW hasn't been relevant for some time. They also backed a man who sexually harassed several women instead of asking where the women's rights were.

NOW is floundering for a good cause. Since women no longer burn their bras or march for the ERA, they're lost. Obsolete and on their way out. lol

NOW has NEVER supported a Conservative woman, for any reason, at any time. They should properly be called "The National Organization for LIBERAL Women".

Why do you think Rush refers to them as NAGS (National Association of Gals)?

NOW only supports women who toe the liberal line. Having the word "Women" in their name is just ironic because they fail to support women who endure the most vicious of attacks (Whitman, O'Donnel, Palin, etc).

The feminists are NOT pro women. They are just a left-leaning political organization, like any other.

NOW is just a phony interest group with women in it whom are in bed with the left wing nuts. It has lost its legitimacy.
