USA/UK differences why do USA think we are wrong ?
Why do people in the USA insist on answering UK questions even when the person has asked for answers from UK ? I have even provided answers which were simple UK law questions, to be told by USA respondents that I did not know what I was talking about (obviously our law is different.....) All English Questions as a category does NOT mean the USA answer is right !

If an American knows the answer to an English question they should be allowed to answer if they bloody well know what they're talking about (apparently some don't). My 2 best friends are British and my neighbours' are British, so I've had 12 yrs of learning about Britain along with having actually been there a few times.
If I know a question, I'll answer it. If I don't, I won't.
I do understand your frustration though, as yes, while the US government and law is based on Britain there are differences.

I kind of get your point. That is only answer specialist questions that you are qualified to answer. For example a question on an English point of law there is no point in giving an American law answer! Seems simple, but I genuinely think some people don't appear to realise when they are in a US or UK section. Possibly the other alternative could be sheer arrogance, as in America leads the way and what their law states should and does apply worldwide!

Simple, you can change the country (obviously) but as an American, I think it's more "fun" to set the language or whatever to "All English questions"... so if you ask a question in the UK, it will show up. Yes, I'm American, and I found this in "All English questions". I don't care if "you wanted British answers", I'm going to feed you my two cents and you'll love it! (Obviously why you asked this question in the first place) Also, did you want Americans or British answering, I don't know because you didn't "specify".

The USA laws are derived from English common law.
It 's the principles that are the same. It is like having
a common ancestor. Because of this common background
many principles are the same.
I have lived in Africa and Spain, and it is amazing to see
how different laws and principles are in those places.
