4 AnswersPolls & Surveys5 years agoA question of workplace diplomacy?
A colleague, who I previously had no reason to mistrust, has been going round asking questions about me to others in the workplace in order to further her 'management prospects'. It's my last day at work. Should I confront her with what I know or walk away saying nothing trusting in karma.
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment6 years agoDo you ever wish that someone would come onto the LGBT section and ask a question that was really different?
I have been on answers for perhaps too long now. However when I first came on there was loads of different questions within this section. Now it is either attention seekers, people asking the same question over and over or 14 year olds asking if their crush will ever love them? Am I too cynical for answers or is there a chance things can really change?

7 AnswersMovies6 years agoA question about etiquette at the theatre?
To explain the situation - my partner and I were at the front row of the theatre. I stood up to help a lady get passed and my seat cushion fell behind me knocking over the person behind me's drink. I immediately apologised and bought both her and her friend a drink, bearing in mind it was only her drink that got spilled.
She did not so much as say a thank you, but then proceeded to say various derogatory comments (behind my back) to her friend though out the evening, even going so far as to say she was 'going to have serious words with me outside' and making comments about my partner being disabled. Eventually I turned around and quite calmly told her to take her problem outside as she was spoiling the evening. I had replaced the drink, which shouldn't have been there in the first place. she then got a member of staff to try and eject me from the building.
Can someone explain to me how exactly I was at fault?
7 AnswersEtiquette7 years agoadvice on suitable food for a puppy?
I have a wonderful 3 month old black German shepherd. However he has dihorrea. No blood and we have been to the vets. He has been wormed, vaccinated and has Kaline on his food, at present. We have gone for a bland diet and regulated meal times. However I was wondering if there was any advice on brands or types of food that might help him enjoy his life even more?

I have put in a complaint to the local council, but I feel this may be overlooked. Is there any other legal avenues I can pursue to make sure my complaint is given a fair hearing?

Smart little girl..
An atheist was seated next to a little girl on an airplane and he turned
to her and said, "Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike
up a conversation with your fellow passenger."
The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total
stranger, "What would you want to talk about?"
"Oh, I don't know," said the atheist. "How about why there is no God,
or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?" as he smiled smugly.
"Okay," she said. "Those could be interesting topics but let me ask
you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same
stuff - grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns
out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?"
The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence,
thinks about it and says, "Hmmm, I have no idea." To which
the little girl replies, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss
God, Heaven and Hell, or life after death, when you don't know ****?"
And then she went back to reading her book.
This is probably familiar to some, but I think there is a lot to be said for what the story has to say. I would be interested to see what your thoughts are concerning this and some of the opinions and beliefs we all have and our responses when we are challenged in any way.

My friend has recently had a terrible first date. He has been in a relationship for years and finally been persuaded to go on a date after a messy break up. I was wondering if anyone has some terrible first date stories to help console my disheartened friend.

This comment may be familiar or it may not. I am not specifically giving the person who quoted the statement as a reference as people may get distracted by their personal opinions of the person rather than the meaning of the quote. So, people your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.....
