Slight Pain in my left elbow?
I'm not sure if I slept on it wrong, though I tend to sleep on my arm and usually I'm fine. However yesterday I noticed my elbow/arm was hurting and so was some of my hand. Like it was weaker than it should be. Now my hand is fine but my elbow hurts. What could I have done to it?
Lemony: I'm guessing that was supposed to be funny.

Hi, these are a few possible answers if your left elbow is slightly painful.
The lateral epicondyle is the outside bony portion of the elbow where large tendons attach to the elbow from the muscles of the forearm. These tendons can be injured, especially with repetitive motions of the forearm, such as using a manual screwdriver, washing windows, or hitting a backhand in tennis play. Tennis elbow results with inflammation of the tendons causing pain over the outside of the elbow, occasionally with warmth and swelling but always with local tenderness. The elbow maintains its full range of motion, as the inner joint is not affected, and the pain can be particularly noticed toward the end of the day. Repeated twisting motions or activities that strain the tendon typically elicit increased pain. X-rays are usually normal but can reveal calcium deposits in the tendon or reveal other unforeseen abnormalities of the elbow joint.
To make the pain subside, try to place an ice pack on your elbow and rest it on a hand rest. Do not swing your elbow and your arms vigorously to avoid any fractures or sprains. If your pain arrived after having a session of sports, then it could be you have fractured your elbow or sprained it slightly. If it happened only after your sleep, you could have placed your elbow in an uncomfortable direction during your sleep, which led to the pain. Try to rest more often, do not put a lot of pressure on your left elbow.Rest the joint, and allow the acute inflammation to subside. Using ice packs or heat packs should loosen up your elbow. Try stretching, but not to vigorous. If pain still persists, do go visit a doctor. Hope i helped. :)
