Have you ever used a neti pot? Serious answers only, please.?

I did about a half hour ago for the first time. I followed the directions for the water

/sea salt ratio but it burned while I was doing it and for a little bit after, to the point my eyes were also burning and watering . Is that normal? Now my sinuses and ears feel so much better. Any thoughts or tips for next time? Thanks in advance!

I did the same thing, way too much salt! My nose burned for like an hour.

    Use less salt.

Try a tad bit less salt next time, and your water temp might have been a little too warm for your personal needs. Maybe you're more sensitive to the salt than what the directions tell you to use.

My husband uses one regularly and I have tried it twice, but it isn't for me (I'm too much of a wimp). I just felt like I was drowning and I didn't like it at all. My eyes would water during and after I did it also (that's why I gave up). My husband on the other hand is a pro at doing it and doesn't have any problems. I think that the more you do it the better at it you will become. Try tilting your head to the side/front just that little bit more and see it that helps.
