Similar guitar players to Wes Montgomery?
I'm looking for jazz guitar players in the modern era who draw a lot of influence from Wes Montgomery. Not too flashy, a lot of melody, good production, good overall instrumentation, No avant garde 20 minute showing off, just some cool playing with a song theme and structure

Well, Wes was one of a kind, and individual performers can vary a lot over the course of their careers or even from one performance to the next, so I'm not going to say these guys are "like" Wes but they definitely mine the same vein:
Jackie King (yes, the guy who tours with Willie Nelson)
Bruce Forman
Joe Pass
All of these guys have stellar chops, but all of them also play very interesting ideas. In that respect they are like Wes. Another poster mentioned Pat Martino. Like the guys I mentioned, Pat has blazingly fast chops, but also has a great tone and great ideas. So in the respect that Wes rarely played "speed demon" solos, none of these guys are like Wes, they all play very fluidly, fluently, and rapidly. But all of them are like Wes in the sense that they are masters of the "chord solo" interpretation of a jazz melody.
