What non-marijuana plants resemble marijuana plants?
I've been hearing a lot of stories lately, about police mistaking other plants for marijuana, raiding the "grow operation" and tearing up people's landscaping for no good reason. Anybody able to name any plants that strongly resemble marijuana?
My reason is twofold. First I'd like to avoid getting my landscape torn up by the SWAT team. Second, my sense of humor and whimsy makes me at least consider doing it deliberately, as a prank on anti-gardening jackbooted thugs everywhere...

If someone tells the police that you're growing pot the cops accept that it's true and will bust you. It doesn't matter what the plants look like. You could be growing seaweed and the cops will bust you if they're told it's pot.

And don't bother with the prank, they don't care if they destroy your house based on a false tip. That's just their job.

They're just stories.I know of no plant that has been mistaken for marijuana.The cultivation is what gives them away.From the aerial view you see normal-normal-normal then bright green and well tended plants.When everything else is dying back (late Aug-late Sept.) the well tended,well watered plants stand out.

well, they spot them from the air, so any plant can be mistaken, they look for a clearing with small plants growing because mid way threw growing season they cant tell the diffrence

don't laff at the tomatoes..... I got rousted for a flat of seedlings in my bay window.. the cops were at my house to bust one of my renters and just happened to notice the seedlings.... sigh.......
