Atheists, how then can't you think of it if you know Biology?

I am no scientist and know little about evolution, but even I can see that what you are calling proof of god is really evidence of adaptation which is what evolution is all about.

Don't give up on finding a good argument, but give up on this argument using those "facts".

Oh, the ignorance...

1. the central nervous system is a part of any "body," it's not separate from it. It can and does move and function "on its own," using all its parts. That has nothing to do with either the universe or a claimed magical god.

2. All of those things are adaptations that have come about through evolution by natural selection.

Your arguments from ignorance and/or incredulity are only evidence of your personal ignorance and/or incredulity, not of any magical god.

Just to let you know, I consider myself a Lutheran but natural selection offers a pretty reasonable explanation for every example you cited. The "amazing specificities" that you attribute to creation could also be seen as simply the sum product of countless mutations occurring over billions of years.

Your "specificity" of these adaptations don't prove creation; in evolutionary terms, at some point, human ancestors did not have these "specificities" until a mutation occurred in our DNA which resulted in them. Obviously, their great benefit ensured that those with the mutation survived and reproduced eventually to the point that those without them were "bred out."

Anyway, rather crude explanation but as a Christian, I think its best if you stop searching for proof of God's existence. If proof of God existed, there would be no need for faith.

Any beneficial trait that our ancestors had was passed down to us. In the wild, persons with diabetes would die before they could pass along their genes. It is only with medical intervention that such people are able to live long enough to have children. If someone had a disease or mutation that made them stronger, rather than weaker than the rest of the mating population, then their genes would be passed on to more descendants.

We have beneficial and (mostly) functional traits because those traits helped our ancestors survive and mate. There is no reason to believe these were "designed" by any type of god, especially with imperfections in "design", like junk DNA, male nipples, the appendix, etc.

Evolution, dear. We developed eyelashes to stop debris getting into our eyes. Why would God make the problem of debris and then make the solution to remedy it? Why not - not make debris in the first place? Why did God make us so fragile that we need a central nervous system which things can go wrong with. Why did he make a spinal cord that when snapped either can kill you, or make you lose your ability to function, move, and feel. Why did he make body tissue which can become cancerous and kill us. Why would he make us need oxygen to survive - if we are deprived of it it will kill us. Why did he make the body to need food, vitamins an minerals to live leaving millions to starve to death in countries prone to famine when they have no food. We evolved into what we are now, and we adapted to our environment. If you go deep enough below the sea you will see fish which have residual eyeballs but no sight - Why not? Because sight is useless where no light is present. And you can see these fish have evolved like all other fish, but with out the sight because it is not needed in its environment. Why would God make a fish with eyeballs, but no sight?

If god is perfect why did he feel the need to create a universe? If you are perfect you are complete. There is no reason to create. However, because there is a law such as gravity, the universe has proven it can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing.

Yes this comes up a lot as a justification. Yes of course there is an order of logic in ecology and biology. I just don't think that the man-made, oh so human series of "Gods" are responsible.

BTW: if there is a natural order - why do corporations heavily backed by the religious right dump litres of toxic chemicals into our atmosphere, oceans etc. Because they don't respect natural order at all.

Our windpipe is located right next to the esophagus. This creates a higher risk for choking, and is not a problem at all for other animals, like dolphins.

If you're going to harp on about how wonderfully designed we are, you must also accept that there are some poor design flaws. This is indicative of an incompetent designer.

The human body works in a particular way. That is the only fact here. After that you leap straight to the idea that because it works and some bits are pretty neat a god must be involved. I don't think that is a logical leap and believe that the working is due to evolution.

Calling something a fact doesn't make it a fact. Really, really believing something is a fact doesn't make is a fact either. Actually, you have described how evolution works. Things that are not advantageous go away. For instance, eyelashes that impair the ability to see are not beneficial.

And why are you asking this question if you already know "the answer" and have no interest in considering anything other than goddidit?

If the human body was designed the designer was incompetent if not outright malevolent.
