DVD in Lexus while driving?
Hi, on my boyfriend's behalf;) I'd like to ask how we can unlock the Lexus system in order to be able to watch the DVDs while driving? There are some films on youtube, but it doesn't really work.
Oh my, I was not doing a confession here, to be sent to hell stright away! The moral lessons - thanx for them, but I know all that!
First of all - I am asking not for me, but for my friend.
Secondly, as a passenger, I don't have to pay attention all the time, so I could watch the DVDs.
The most important - unlocking the system is the only way to unlock the menu of GPS. If you are at the speed road, where you can't stop, you can't pull over all anywhere you like just to change the direction, etc.!!!
Additionally, you won't find me, because it's not me who'll be driving, and I'm not from your country...

There's a way to do it. But it usually involves buying a dummy sensor to fool the Car into thinking it's stopped when it's not.
Sometimes you just have to unplug the right wire to the Stereo.
It's usually much easier on Aftermarket Systems.

You can unlock it. You need to rewire two wires under the Gear Knob and plug in a small chip which you can buy for about 100 bucks. It fools the car in thinking it is parked and the parking break is applied. Look on ebay Most mechanics will do this for about 150 bucks if you don't want to do it yourself. I remember because I myself wanted to get it done but never got the chance =) Check out the link below. Scroll down for detailed instructions. Let me know how it goes. Do not take the car to the dealer, they will not do it. As for the warranty, lexus didnt tell me anything other than the fact "they would not do it under any circumstances".

say what? watch DVDs while driving? are you nuts? keep your eyes on the road. i don't care about you but usually people that do stupid things like this get into accidents and the other people in the other car are the ones that get hurt or die. just like drunk drivers, it's the other people that get hurt or killed and the drunk driver don't even get a scratch. don't join the group of the stupid.

You can't, it's made that way so you don't crash. If I see you watching DVDs while driving I will call the police and follow you constantly telling the police where you are until you are pulled over.

There's a way to hack it. Just google it.
Don't worry if I see you driving watching DVD's I won't follow you because my Car won't go fast enough to follow anyone.

because it is illegal to watch while driving as you are supposed to be watching the road and area around you.
