laminate flooring keeps on moving?

i've layed my floor banged it together at the end and left a gap round the floor now the floor keeps on coming apart. what went wrong?

    You either have a defective locking system, are not getting it locked together ar the product you bought isn t the self locking type and needs to be stapled or glued to the floor. If its a few boards , I m guessing their not getting locked or is defective. If its the whole floor coming apart, I d guess its not a self locking floating floor system..

    If it wasn't the click together type, it may have required the addition of a wood glue to make every join stay put.

    If there is only one or two joints that are the issue then just add a touch of wood glue to the join, press together and leave overnight. this will stop the boards parting again.

    Some types of flooring require that they are laid on sticky membrane other are click together, what was in the instructions?

    you whouldnt leave a gap.. or its bound to move. you also need underlay with clip laminate flooring. or it creaks and moves x
