go to the library and download the malicious software removal tool from microsoft save it to a usb memory stick, plug it in your computer and run the program; this may take a wile depending on your hard drive size; and make sure you have an internet connection (it may take several hours) good luck

Try pressing F8 at start up to enter safe mode with networking then run a virus scan, control panel will be of no help with a virus.
Most time when a virus/malware/soyware take over the system the only way to resolve the problem is to cut your loses and re install the operating system using a set of recovery disc made for the lap top.
This writes over every thing on the hard drive and installs a complete new operating system just like came on the lap top.

Start in safe mode by pressing F8 repeatedly when you switch on your computer
Go to START/All Programs/Accesories/System Tools/System Restore. Do a restore as far back as possible.
When you have done the restore start in safe mode again. Perform a full system scan.
I strongly recommend:
Avast 5 - http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Free-Antivirus/3000...
MalwareBytes - http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware...
Do a BOOT Scan with Avast and a Full system Scan with MalwareBytes. These 2 will find almost anything so good luck.
